Why a writer? Well, I could say something cliched, like "it's in my blood", and it would be accurate enough, I suppose. Since childhood my favourite way of passing the time, when alone, has been either reading or writing. I was often to be found sitting with my nose in some book or other, totally immersed in the world the author had created, oblivious to events around me. Even then, I knew that what I wanted to do most of all was write. I wanted to be able to take others on a journey through the world of my imaginings, just as my favourite authors had shown me the wonders of their worlds. I still want that, almost three decades later. Maybe one day, who knows...
