As Friday came, we returned to Glasgow and very sadly closed the loop on our thousand-mile trek around Scotland. Before we left, we'd still procure enough time to sip some forbidden absynthe, cruise Sauchiehall Street, and return to Edinburgh to tour Edinburgh Castle and climb the sheer 850-foot face of Arthur's Seat. Seen here is Victor Cardoso, overlooking the courtyard of Glasgow's Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, which houses a wonderful collection of medieval arms and armor. This was Victor's first Dargon Summit, despite having been a project writer for three years. But against our wishes the 2002 Scotland Summit inevitably drew to a close, leaving us all with vivid, unforgettable memories of the landscape and its medieval history and artifacts, and with even stronger ties to one another. | |
