The accommodations in Traverse City were noteworthy. Victor not only got us an immense chalet right on the shoreline of Lake Leelanau, but he also rented another whole chalet for our female contingent: P. Atchley and Rena Deutsch! After a substantial grocery run, we holed up in the lodge and were as comfortable as anyone could be in the presence of six other writers and a huge moose head. Yes, the living room was dominated by a hulking, Volkswagen-sized stuffed moose head that loomed over everyone with a most malignant glare. We named him "Parris" in honor of the Block Idol story arc's primary villain. In this photo, Dargon veteran Dafydd is plugging away on his computer. Daf has taken much more of a leadership role in the past year, and is the motivating factor behind our goal of bringing our stories together more closely. In order to accomplish that, he's also led the effort to create the next major unifying event in Dargon's history. | |
