Liam's Persian cat, Sebastian, was a fixture at this year's Summit, and a welcome pleasure for Ornoth and Dafydd, both of whom have lost longtime feline companions within the past few months. Here Sebastian condescends to accept some attention from DargonZine's editor. Look for Sebastian to make an appearance in Liam's forthcoming story, "A Father's Gift". After a bleary-eyed Liam got up early to make waffles for everyone, we dove into Saturday's working sessions, which began with a very sobering surprise: after founding DargonZine and leading the project for the past dozen years, Ornoth declared that he would be unable to fulfill that leadership role any longer. The good news is that the group responded very well to this unexpected declaration. We divided the job up into five different roles, and divvied up the responsibilities between several people. Ornoth will continue to edit the magazine, but Liam and Jon will assume the overall leadership of the Dargon Project. We're honestly confident that this change is best for Ornoth, for the writers, and for our readers, and we're excited to see what Liam and Jon come up with. | |
