After spending most of the day on all that heavy stuff, we were eager to have some fun. Our evening expedition was to Newport on the Levee, where we had a fine meal at Brio Tuscan Grille, featuring a champagne toast by Jon Evans. Our main entertainment for the evening was the surprisingly large Newport Aquarium, which featured large exhibits of sharks, avians, otters, alligators, and so forth. The accompanying photo shows DargonZine's new leadership team -- Jon and Liam -- in the tunnel that passes beneath the immense central shark tank. Afterward we stopped for ice cream at Graeter's, a Cincinnati original, before heading home. After three nights of minimal sleep, people were drooping, and we went to bed without even managing a single game of Settlers! | |
