Friday is the Summit's traditional gathering day, as writers from all over the US arrive and meet up. This year we spent Friday evening hanging out at Oliver's, a bar and nightclub in Downers Grove which describes itself as "the most exciting nightclub in the Chicagoland area".
Here is our host, Carlo Samson, wielding his weapon of choice. Carlo's most recent storylines are "Persistence of Spirit" and "Ruthless Revelry". This shot was taken just before he left on a great misadventure to pick up the last arrival of the day at O'Hare.
